Some merchants may not have a RIP Scanner. Not a problem! We have a Plan B! 


You will need to pay for your expense first, then request a paper receipt. At this point, we recommend you complain loudly that there is no RIP scanner available to remove the need for this hassle. 


To record your expense, follow these steps:


1. Open your RIP Expenses Mobile App


2. Select your Expense Code, either by tapping a favourite code, or tapping on "Search Codes" to search the complete list of expense codes available



3. Start typing to enter your comment to justify why you are incurring the expense.


4. Tap "Capture Photo". You can choose to take new photo of the receipt right then, or if you already have it stored on your phone's camera roll, you can access the photo from there.



5. Tap Submit Expense.



The process is all done - however we recommend you don't throw the paper receipt out until you can see the expense is no longer "Pending" in "My Expenses". The reason for this is if for any reason the image of the receipt cannot be read, we will have to send it back to you to retry another image upload.


Once the expense in "My Expenses" is no longer "Pending", and "Approved" (if you have them approved by someone) you can throw away that receipt!
